Blizzard Entertainment recently revealed some new information about its recently released action RPG sequel, Diablo III. The company has revealed record sales, unveiled an updated game guide, and offered some advice to Mac users with lower end graphics cards.
Following the global launch of Diablo III on May 15, the Lord of Terror has consumed a record number of souls. More than 3.5 million copies of the game were sold as of the first day of release, making Diablo III the fastest-selling PC game of all time. As of the first week of release, Sanctuary's heroes had already reached a total of more than 6.3 million.
We updated the Diablo III game guide page with tons of information on the gameplay and world of Diablo III – fighting monsters, exploring the realm of Sanctuary, understanding items, and plenty more.
While this guide hits all of the basics, we know you have some more nuanced questions about the gameplay mechanics of Diablo III, and we're planning to expand the guide with answers (and even more details) in the future. In the meantime, if there are any particular aspects of the game you're curious to know more about, feel free to let your voice be heard in the comments!
We've been closely monitoring community feedback since the launch of Diablo III. The top issue for our Mac players is performance, especially on low-end cards such as the NVIDIA 9400M. We're working on an optimization update to significantly improve performance for the NVIDIA 9400M. Other cards will see a modest but noticeable increase in FPS. This fix will be available in the near future.
